Durr Distributes Holiday Thanks

HARAHAN, LA (December 15, 2008) –

Durr Truck of ToysDurr Heavy Construction held a month long toy drive for the younger residents of Lafitte and presented a roll-off container full of toys to Principal Charlie Mae “Cis” Bordelon at Leo E. Kerner, Jr. Elementary School on Monday, December 15th at 10:00 am.

The presentation was made to Principal Bordelon by several Durr employees that worked on the dewatering of Lafitte after Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.  Also on hand for the presentation were members of Lafitte Mayor Timothy Kerner’s office.

“I am so happy with the response we received from our employees when we decided to do this special toy drive for Lafitte,” said Freddy Yoder, COO and President of Durr, “The guys went above and beyond my expectations and really brought in a lot of toy for the kids.”

“I helped with the dewatering process down in Lafitte and so when the company decided to do this toy drive, there was no place more deserving, in my eyes, then this town,” said Sidney “Cooky” Ordoyne, Equipment Manager.  “These families really got hit hard this hurricane season and need as much help as possible.”
